About the Conference

The 16th EuroTeX meeting, “A Hungarian TeX Rhapsody”, will be held in the city of Debrecen, Hungary, between July 4 and 8, 2006. MaTeX (the Hungarian TeX User Group) together with the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Debrecen have committed to undertake the conference affairs, and now announce the call for papers. This will be the first international TeX conference held in Hungary.

Topics include but are not limited to:
  • TeX and its so many friends, automated typesetting;
  • text processing (morphological/syntactical/lexical analysis etc.);
  • typography (digital or not);
  • font design and technologies;
  • publishing (electronic or not);
  • rediscovery of the Hungarian book tradition.

Location
The conference will be hosted in the University of Debrecen. Debrecen is an important city in Eastern Hungary with a rich cultural heritage.

Hungary is a sunny country during summer, an ideal place to spend your holidays before or after the conference. During the conference, you will also have enough free time to discover Hungarian culinary specialities and wines. Several cultural programmes will be available in Debrecen at the time of the conference, including jazz and classical music festivals, exhibitions, and performances. We especially invite you to bring your own musical instruments so that we can create our own festival!
